The American Spirit Pageant is a national pageant system that will hold it’s national event this year at Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort in 2012 on May 31st – June 3rd. The American Spirit Pageants program is a wonderful way for young women to learn more about themselves and others, make new friends, build self confidence, gain greater social awareness, and give back to the community. American Spirit Pageants offers many opportunities for all of those involved.
Our Mission is to find the true “American Spirit”. We focus on positive energy combined with a never-quit attitude that has made our country shine. The different cultures in America has created a melting pot of ideas. Our goal is find the common ground that binds us as we still remember to celebrate our differences.
The “American Spirit” embodies the 5 “C”s: Courage – Conviction – Compassion – Character – Charity
The goal of our pageants is emphasize to the contestants that in order to be the best they can be that focus must be placed on competing with themselves and not the other contestants. We also strive to help the contestants speak with ease and communicate effectively regarding the issues they are passionate about.
Our pageant system is not all about physical beauty. Contestants will be judged on their character as well. Also, what a contestant does while they are away from the pageant is also considered in the evaluation process. Something unique to our pageant is that we have included a fundraising portion that is an actual judged component. The contestant’s willingness to help others will factor into their overall score.
